Twitter published a new video today featuring numerous celebrities explaining how and why they use the service. Richard Branson, Serena Williams, Piers Morgan, Snoop Dogg, Hillary Clinton and a host of others appear in the video to explain who they follow and how and why they use Twitter.
The video and contributors are all featured on a new site, discover.twitter.com.
Finally, if you’re more interested in the tech side of Twitter’s five years, a blog post on the company’s engineering blog explains how Twitter was “moved” twice last year to make the service more stable.
One thing that doesn’t seem to be part of today’s birthday celebration: retiring the old Twitter.com interface. I had my bets on today being the day that all users were switched over to the new website, but that doesn’t seem to be the case … at least not yet. (Then again, I also picked Pitt and Notre Dame to reach the Final Four, so what do I know?)
