Search engines have two major functions – crawling & building an index, and providing answers by calculating relevancy & serving results.
Crawling & Building: Search engines are answer machines. When a person looks for something online, it requires the search engines to scour their corpus of billions of documents and do two things – first, return only those results that are relevant or useful to the searcher’s query, and second, rank those results in order of perceived usefulness. It is both “relevance” and “importance” that the process of SEO is meant to influence. Google appear to be so proud that they could now spot duplicates to a paragraph. I have no idea why they are proud of that. There is huge selection of software offered out there that could easily rotate this article into 1000 different versions all of which would be legible. The best part of that is Google would have no way of examining it.
Once again the Liberal way of thinking stumbles upon in that they think they are smarter than anyone else. The truth of it is the private sector, the typical people are method smarter than your average Lib, they are the powerhouse behind this great nation, always have been and always will be. Are the topics driven by genuine interests of readers of the site, or does the site generate content by attempting to guess what might rank well in search engines? Is the site a recognized authority on its topic? Would you give your credit card information to the domain? Would you trust from this site? Would you recognize this site as an authority? Would users complain when they see pages from this site? Seeing these questions, you would know that there is some delicate approach Google is taking to make sure SEO methods are kept in check.
