A month after the Bing search engine Yahoo to become the No. 2 in US, as Bing surpassed Yahoo, search market share continued to down in New Year, according to comScore. Meanwhile, Google rode past the part 66 percent of the search market.

As per comScore the rankings of search engines for Jan 2012:

• Google – Enhance from 65.9% in December 2011 to 66.2%.

• Bing - Enhance from 15.1%to 15.2 %

• Yahoo - Fell down from 14.5% to 14.1%.

Last year, Google had 65.6% market share, Bing was in third place at 13.1% and Yahoo was in second place with 16.1%.

ComScore further added that, Google’s market share has not been much from December 2010, when Google was 66.2% of the search market.

In January, 68.4% of searches resulted in organic search results from Google (enhance from 68.1% in December), while Bing powered around 26.5 % of the research – unchanged from December.
