Thousands of local businesses have a little more exposure on Google Maps.
The reason for this is Google is now showing small, orange dots to point to businesses that have participated in the Google Business Photos service. You may remember that — it’s the self-serve program that connects local business and local photographers to have professional interior business photos added to Google Maps/Places.
For seeing that what businesses on a Google map have the interior photos, you first have to grab Pegman and drag him over the map it is for looking for Street View imagery.
Pegman still point to where Street View is available with the blue street lines, and now the smaller orange dots show where business photos have been added.
It’s a nice bit of extra exposure for local business owners, a helpful feature for searchers that want to see a place before they visit and — in the bigger picture — another feature that distinguishes Google Maps from Apple Maps, which will debut tomorrow when iOS 6 is released.

While Twitter spent many months opposing attempts to hand over tweets to a criminal judge that belong to a member of the Occupy Wall Street movement, it could only hold on for so long.
It is reported:
“Twitter handed over tweets from an Occupy Wall Street protester to a New York criminal judge on Friday after months of fighting a subpoena from prosecutors.”
“The company surrendered the micro-blogging posts to Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Matthew Sciarrino but they will remain under seal until another appeal by the protestor, Malcolm Harris, is argued next week.”
Twitter held on as long as they could but Malcolm Harris’ luck with keeping that data private may have just run out.
“Twitter had faced a Friday deadline to comply with the subpoena or face contempt and a substantial fine. In court on Friday, the company’s lawyers asked one last time for the judge to stay his order but he refused and they turned over the documents to him.”

Before we approach the official end of summer on 21st September 2012, our Google Maps team thought it’d be fun to see how those of us in the Northern Hemisphere have spent the dog days. To do this, we reviewed the summer search activity on maps.google.com in several countries between the end of May and the beginning of September. Within each country, a look at some of the top-rising searches and the often-searched landmarks on Google Maps gives us a sense of how people around the world spent their summers.
We are pleased that people entrust on the widespread and precise imagery in Google Maps to research, plan, preview and digitally experience distant as well as local destinations across the globe.
Best local beaches with nice facilities requires and searched from North Americans escaping from strong summer heat and get help in breezy and calm environment.
And on comparison with Spanish, Italian and France searched for community swimming pools. In Google Maps searches included with several indoor activities like squash, bars and going for gym. And also travel is the first choice for the summer, as indicated by a surge in searches for lodging in almost every county.
Check out the destinations that captured people’s attention this summer and see how your interests compared to others around the world. We hope you enjoy this look back to remember the fun places we all went with Google Maps this summer.

After update in Google Penguin, can you estimate how many backlinks are secure? Google’s link warnings would not stop, some decide to destroy backlinks to their site or even dispose of the “bad” site altogether.
However, radical action only means that one doesn’t have the expertise to do a Penguin-savvy inventory of their site and to dismantle only those links which stand in violation with the new standards. In most cases, this is a better option than starting from scratch.
Here you enable to learn that how:
• Perform a Penguin-savvy backlink audit.
• Make sure your on-page SEO meets Google’s quality guidelines.
• Identify a negative SEO attack early on.

Microsoft is to rebrand its advertising arm as part of a deeper partnership with Yahoo.
The name for the partners’ collective advertising offering will be the Yahoo Bing Network, according to a Microsoft blog post.
Bing Ads will replace the Microsoft platform formerly known as adCenter. This rebranding has also already been launched on the adCenter landing page.
Bing Ads, like adCenter, will be offered to businesses wishing to place advertisements in search results, or what will now be known as the Yahoo Bing Network.
It is said by the Microsoft community manager, “We’d like to take a moment to launch to you the Yahoo Bing Network, the new name for the unique audience that uses Yahoo Search, and Bing, and our partner sites.” “Delivering a high-quality audience, the Yahoo Bing Network is comprised of 151 million unique searchers in the US who are likely to spend 24 per cent more than the average searcher, and likely to spend five per cent more than Google searchers in the US.”

Over the past week or so, I’ve been listening to forum reports that Google’s search results have been in a state of instability. Generally when I see such a level of conversation about variations in Search engine, “Google”, I suppose Search engines to declare upgrade algorithm.
It is seen that a point in communication in the forums and have fairly confident Google is testing and about to release an important update.
I have emailed to Google search engine for more information and not get the respond from Google. Generally Google responds to us within 24-hours with a confirmation or information or refusal of algorithm update. Delay in the communication makes me to expect that Google is testing some more things for not commenting. The lack of communication makes me suspect Google is testing something and is not ready to comment.
Penguin Updated on 26th May 2012, over three months ago. We know the next Penguin update might feeling jolt and we have to expect Google has been working up something more important on the Penguin side since over 3 months.

Facebook is now cracking to scammers who use fraud and malware to create fake “Likes”.
It is said that by the company that automated tools which enables us to identify and delete fake “Likes”. Use of updated protective works helps us to better identify suspect behavior.
It is also stated by the company, “Approx below 1% of Likes on any given page will be removed, providing they and their affiliates have been abiding by our terms”. “These newly improved automated efforts will remove those Likes gained by malware, compromised accounts, deceived users, or purchased bulk Likes.”
The use of fake Likes, has become a very trendy for scammers and malware writers to spread their attacks and divert users to advertising or malware-serving sites, as well as advertising affiliate pages.
Just as a click-jacking attacks trick users into visiting a page and artificially inflating traffic numbers, automated Like operations can artificially inflate the perceived popularity of a page or company, allowing the attacker to collect a higher affiliate rate from an advertiser.
Facebook noted that any effort to buy, sell, or otherwise artificially generate “Like” activity on the site is a violation of its terms and conditions.
Further it is also said by the company, “These improvements to our site integrity systems benefit both users and brands alike”. “Users will continue to connect to the Pages and Profiles they authentically want to subscribe to, and Pages will have a more accurate measurement of fan count and demographics.”
