Praised as a competitor Foursquare, Google’s Latitude is now presenting for users a checkin service which comprises a leader board feature. Because barely speaks of North latitude and longitude is one of the few social options out there that makes Google + look like beater social media world you can see why it is not done with funfare.

“Google just doesn’t offer much fanfare for this new feature — as far as we can tell, he has not yet been officially announced. With the latest update to the maps application, Mountain View delivered an extra level of functionality for the Latitude but forgotten all. Now the selection check-ins you earn points that are computed and used to classify users Google + in a global leaderboard, just like on foursquare. Not everyone is seeing the feature just yet, and it only appears to be after you check in somewhere. In fact, we haven’t found a way to pull up the leaderboard without first registering our location. You can see the sparse enough on the help page link more coverage and sound in the comments if you’re seeing your name sorted alongside his favorites Engadget editors and Leo Laporte.”

Worked on it, but as it is never been to impress with a sample check and it really enthuse me. How this eventually leads you to Google place page, however. When this is all included in Google + some way or in the form then there might be something to check out.
